As the DJControl Instinct P8 is not natively supported by VDJ Pro, yous will demand to use the dedicated MIDI mapping available from the support site:

Hullo,

In the zip mapping file 1.3 (VirtualDJ 8 - DJControl Instinct P8 - Mapping V1.iii), there is a pdf guideline explaining the how to use the mapping.

i. Connect the speakers & the headphones to DJControl Instinct P8
Connect the speakers to DJControl Instinct P8 master output, two RCA ports labelled Mix Out.
Connect the headphones to DJControl Instinct P8 a 1/8" (three.5mm plug) port on the right panel.

ii.    Install the MIDI map in VirtualDJ 8 Pro
a)    Download DJControl Instinct P8 map file from Hercules support website, in the MIDI mapping area https://support.hercules.com/en/product/djcontrolinstinctp8-en/
b)    Uncompress it to use the two .xml files.
    a.    re-create the file "Hercules DJControl Instinct P8.xml" in the folder
        in Windows    C:\Users\YourName\Documents\VirtualDJ\Devices
        in Mac Bone    Macintosh Hard disk drive\Users\YourName\Documents\VirtualDJ\Devices
    b.    copy the file "Hercules DJControl Instinct P8 mapping.xml" in the folder
        in Windows    C:\Users\YourName\Documents\VirtualDJ\Mappers
        in Mac OS    Macintosh Hard disk\Users\YourName\Documents\VirtualDJ\Mappers

3. Run VirtualDJ viii Pro
When yous run VirtualDJ 8 Pro, information technology detects DJControl Instinct P8
Click on "Use Soundcard" and click on Become.

4.    Sound
